I’ve never seen the inventory fall so low. Since March, COVID-19 forced some sellers to take their home off the market, and other to withhold putting their home up for sale, fearing that showings could bring COVID into the home. That’s good news for sellers, because it drives up property value. The real estate industry has adjusted to this reality, and enacted COVID protocols that are now standard showing procedure. Showings are done in a way that protect that seller. Open houses have the same protocol, and are sometimes done virtually, bringing in even more interested buyers than in-person open houses!
